PASTOR'S CORNER:
"Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others." Phil. 2:4
Paul taught the Philippian Christians the value of caring for others. The lesson is just as valuable today as in Paul's time. In the fast paced world we live in, it is easy to forget there are others around us. We get "tunnel vision", where we only see our circumstances. We will be blessed if we pause, look around, and realize there is a world full of people that are "in the same boat" that we are in.
Each day God grants us is another opportunity to help others. It may just be a small gesture - a smile, kind word, etc. - but it may be used of God to help other people. And some day maybe we will be down and someone will help us. The Christian experience is one of giving AND receiving.
Let us make each day count for God's glory. And let's do what we can to help others.
