Hooker First Baptist Church has a real heart for missions and just celebrated 5 years of their Hispanic mission that meets now at 320 W. Illinois on Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening. Sometimes they meet with the English-speaking congregation for joint services. The church had a very special priviledge to ordain Bro Moises Avalos to the Ministry on January 27, 2002. He is full time in Hooker as well as Beaver County Hispanic Mission.
Singles outreach group meets on the last Thursday of each month.
We meet in the Fellowship Hall at 6:30 p.m.

There are mission study groups for all ages, beginning with pre-schoolers in Mission Friends, Girls in Action, Royal Ambassadors, Acteens, and Challengers. Youth attend associational camps in the summer at Gibson Baptist Assembly for Girls in Action, Mission Friends and RAs.
Challengers held a Halloween alternative party, called a "CEE" party on Oct. 31. Food, fun and games were enjoyed by all ages with featured food all beginning with "c." (chips, cookies, cupcakes, cheese dip, chili, chocolate, etc.)
BBW, a women's mission group, meets each month on the second Monday at 7:00 p.m. They work on various mission projects including a crisis food closet which is open on Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to Noon and 1-4 p.m.. All of the above groups are involved in many mission projects throughout the year. Below are pictures of BBW members at their Christmas gathering in December 2005 and at the fall kick-off salad supper in September.
Youth have taken many mission trips, including one to the Olympics in Atlanta. A young lady from our church, Debra Depuy, has served in Argentina. In addition, the church gives regularly to many mission outreaches including churches working in pioneer Baptist areas. We also have several volunteers go on a week evangelistic crusade to Mexico
